Ruth Taylor “Ruthie” Wright, age 72, of Atlanta (Brookhaven), Georgia, born May 20, 1944 in Columbus, GA, died June 12, 2016 in Atlanta, GA at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert (Bob) Thompson Wright and Mary Angeline Taylor Wright; and her husband, Mike Mason. Ruthie moved to Tucker, GA in 1973, loved to play bridge, was a graduate of Shorter College and most recently worked at Brookhaven Branch Library (DeKalb County, Georgia). Ms. Wright is survived by her son and daughter -in-law, Michael George Christensen, Jr. and Stefanie Christensen of Cumming, GA; step daughter, Leigh Mason Nixon of Tampa, FL; sister, Ann Wright Lyon of Billings, MT; nephew, Bobby Lyon of Billings, MT; grandchildren, Parker Tate Christensen and Abigail Taylor Christensen of Cumming, GA; and her cat, Luna of Brookhaven, GA.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Ruth Taylor “Ruthie” Wright will be held 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Midway Methodist Church, 5025 Atlanta Highway, Alpharetta, GA 30004 or www.midwayumc.org.
