ZyQuest Walker passed away from this life early in the morning of Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Egleston Children’s Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. ZyQuest left this earth at the young age of 13 after an unexpected decline in health from undiagnosed AML Leukemia. He was surrounded and supported by his loving parents during the last day of his life.
ZyQuest was born in Syracuse, New York but has been a Georgian since 2013. ZyQuest and his parents and siblings continue to live in Lawrenceville, Georgia where he lived the remainder of his life.
ZyQuest, also known by his nickname “Rodie”, was full of life. He enjoyed playing football, basketball, video games, and spending time at the park. He also enjoyed collecting movies and watching the old version of Tarzan with his Grandma. He was in the eighth grade at the Buice Center. He loved to go on family outings and considered his family to be his best friends.
Whether at a large family gathering, a football game at the park, or simply sitting at home, no one could miss that Rodie was there. His passion was to make others smile with his great sense of humor.
Rodie was a true warrior and protector of his family and friends while he was on earth, and we feel confident that he will continue to fulfil this role as he begins his new life in heaven.
ZyQuest is survived by his mother, Kwantisha Dugger-Walker, his father, Marctavius Walker and his seven siblings: brother Benacchio, sister Chiniesha, sister Shamyan, brother Mortezees, brother Ihzees, sister Ka’miah, and brother Montez, two grandmothers: Gwendolyn (John) Dugger, Belinda (Greg) Walker and aunts, uncles and lots of cousins.
A memorial service to honor ZyQuest’s life will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 3:00pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – 3323 New Hope Road, Dacula, Georgia 30019.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Kwantisha & Marctavius Walker, 560 Mattie Farm Place, Lawrenceville, GA 30045

Our sincerest condolences to the family. Fond memories of him, Ihzees and Triston playing outside and we will never forget that time we spent over an hour or so looking for him and he was just inside the house next door ❤. Cherish every memory of him. God bless and keep your family. I pray that he gives you strength through this difficult time. RIH Rodie.
