To Mari and the Tancig Family,
My sincere condolences! I met Edward and all the Tancig siblings many years ago. I went to St. Francis of Assisi Grade School and Cardinal Newman High School with Mari. Mari and I would play after school at her house which was always fun because the house was full of kids, her siblings and all their friends.
In May 1986, I hired Edward to be the photographer for my wedding. His pictures were amazing and both my husband, Brian and I, were so happy with all the wedding photos taken. Edward’s true calling in life was his gift of photography.
Blessing to all of the family and may God’s peace fill your hearts.

I was so sorry to read of Ed’s passing. Ed took my wedding photos 37 years ago and I think of him every time I look at my album. I have fond memories of him as he also worked with us on many projects at my Dad’s ad agency. My sincere condolences to his family. Laura Gruenwald Bender

I just found this post and have to mention this. First, sad to know of Ed’s passing, especially so young. But I grew up in West Palm Beach, and I used to development Ed’s wedding images when I worked for Custom Black & White in Lake Park.
But I was talking with my daughter this afternoon about funny and unique pet names when suddenly, I remembered Ed saying the name of his dog was “Dee-o-gee,” of course for dog. I may have the spelling incorrect, but I cannot believe that “that” suddenly popped into my mind.
My daughter thought that was the most unique and funny name for a pet, and she and I shared a good hard laugh!
So I Googled the Internet curious if Ed was still taking photographs, and that’s when I came upon this obit. So sad again to learn of his passing, but I hope someone finds this post enlightening as it was for me.
