Mr. Charles Leroy Loyd, age 72, of Sharpsburg, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2016. Mr. Loyd was born on June 5, 1944, in Conyers, Georgia, son of the late Leroy and Winnie Loyd. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and an avid fisherman. He helped many people as a drug and school counselor throughout his career. Mr. Loyd was a n Eagle Scout.

Survivors include a dear friend, Ms. Dolores Gordy; three daughters, Amelia Hanson, Nancy Welker, and Laura Ann Auton; Son, Andrew Butts; and grandchildren, Drew Hanson, Allison Welker, and Lachlan Campbell.
