Warren Lloyd Carden was born July 19th, 1967 to Joyce Ann Orr and the late Phillip W. Henderson in Greenville, Alabama. Warren has always been a huge sports fan. He played football (#34), baseball (#10), and basketball for Glenwood High School in Phenix City, Alabama. His love for sports stuck with him through his adult life, as he was a huge fan of the Braves, Spurs, and Auburn football team. Warren was a well-known car salesman in the Columbus area, probably one of the best. He was in this career for a little over 15 years working at Jay Auto Mall and Carl Gregory until his health declined and hindered him from working. Warren also worked at Bob’s Welding for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting and most of all, enjoyed spending time with his beloved son, Chance.
Warren L. Carden, 51, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away on Sunday, May 12th, 2019 at Piedmont Midtown Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his son, Chance Carden, his mother, Joyce A. Orr, his dad, David W. Orr, his brother & sister-in-law Wade and Jessica Carden, his nieces, nephews and cousins, his loving family in Greenville, AL, and his long-time friend, Tom Ellis.
A Celebration of Life will be held June 1, 2019 from 630pm to 830pm Eastern at Lakewood Golf Clubhouse: 2800 Lakewood Dr, Phenix City, AL 36867.

My earliest memory of Warren was playing sports as kids. He was a great athlete. Many years later we reconnected via the car business. He was an excellent car and truck salesman. People have car salesmen all wrong. It’s not about being a good talker. It’s about being a good listener. Warren knew how to listen and he never shied away from a joke especially if he could joke about himself. He liked to make people laugh. I’ll miss Warren. I wish you all peace during this moment of great loss. I know what Warren would want us to do in remembering him. A true celebration of life. God bless you all.

He was my cousin but we grew up closer than that. When I got out of the army, he got me a job with him at Bob’s welding supply. We would hang out and go to memory lanes on Macon Rd. Warren was a great guy. I didn’t see much of him lately, but I’ll miss him. The world was better with him in it.

well i could write a book warren was the best of the best an my best fiend four the last five years he would come over and take me to my doctors and to the store just anywhere i needed to go and he would just listen to me and he would make this sandwich and he would bring it to me everyday. he was ore like a brother then a cousin. he would take up for me. and when i didn’t have a date for junior prom, he had took me. he was a great role model for my kids, he would teach them things like sports. i will miss him dearly. he will always be in my heart along with my aunt joyce, who was like a mother to me. and as for as concern he was my brother and aunt Joyce was my second mother.

I was so sad to hear of Warren’s passing..I loved him like my own child…he was such a Joy to work with at Jay Auto.. he always kept me laughing…call his customer would say what a great salesman they had. He loved you Chance so much..always talking about what a great son he had..and he loved his mother Mrs Joyce.
