Woodrow P. Nichols (Bo/Pops) of Griffin, Ga passed peacefully in his sleep Saturday April 2nd with his wife of 57 years Patricia at his side. Bo is preceded in death by his parents Lorena & Charles Nichols; In-laws Raymond and Dorothy DeBorde; Sisters Ebe, Tutts, Granny, Pinky, Vivian & Nicky; Brothers Jimmy, Bill & Brother.
He is survived by his wife Patricia; Children Keith, Brian and Penny and Brandy and Leon; Sister Susie; Brothers Butch, David, and Robert; Grandchildren Kyle and Sam, Hunter, Luke, Libby, Lily, and Ella; Great Grandchildren Madi and Levi.
Born May 4, 1944, Bo was a natural athlete and received many awards in football and baseball. He was voted the “Best Catcher” in Atlanta in 1962 and was subsequently drafted by the Detroit Tigers. He chose a different path after meeting the love of his life. He continued working in warehousing until he became a lineman with Georgia Power Company. Pops, as he later became, retired from Georgia Power after a 37-year career as a lineman. His influence throughout Georgia Power and the community will be felt for generations.
A tireless servant, Pops never missed an opportunity to make those around him feel the warmth of his love and nurturing. Pops was a bright and shining light that will continue to be a guide to all those fortunate enough to meet him. Pops lived a life filled with hard work and servitude, but mostly love and a constant smile.

My deepest condolences. I fist meet the Nicola family when I was 12 yrs old. David and Robert and friends had a band. Ms Mama Nicholas and Mr Nichols along with all the brothers and sister and family would gather at their house for music .. I have fond memories of the love and care this family extended to and all of us growing up! Prayers and love to you all.
