Michael Edward Wright, after living an event-filled eighty-eight years, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 4. Born in England in 1935, he was the only child of Cyril and Clarice Wright. He and his first family lived in NY and raised three children. He taught them to be hard working and to live wholesome truthful rewarding lives, which they did. He found his second family while living in Georgia, with whom he took great pride and had real affection.
Since retired, he worked for Pan American Airways and Delta Airlines for over 50 years. He enjoyed traveling, antiquing, and reading, aggravating his children, use of the word “stupid” and spent a fair amount of time agitated by politics. He enjoyed a pint of John Courage Bitter and the occasional snifter of Benedictine.
He is survived by the wife of his first family: Patricia; and their children: Carl (Annette), Douglas (Cory) and Angela (Tony); three grandchildren: Adam Martin, Alex Martin and Mitchell Wright; two great-grandchildren: Molly & Baylee Martin. He is also survived by his second family-Delores Leedy, his closest friend and companion, her sons Jim and Jones, grandsons Daniel and Bryson and his foot-licker Missy.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Messages of condolence may be left at www.GeorgiaCremation.com. The Wright family is being assisted by Georgia Cremation, 1086 Hwy 54 W, Fayetteville.
