Anthony Earl Duval

Share

Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute.

It is with profound sadness that the family of Anthony Earl Duval announces his passing on February 16, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on May 30, 1949, in Old Harbor, St. Catherine, Jamaica, Anthony—affectionately known as Tony—was a devoted husband, father, brother, cousin, and friend, who will be remembered for his warmth and deep sense of loyalty. Tony was that dependable friend who you could count on to be there when you needed him. He was a man of few words but his unwavering support was strong and evident in any situation in which he was needed. Tony gave freely of himself and his quiet strength was unmistakable.

Tony’s passionate love of music was evident in the many hours he spent playing his guitar and enjoying his extensive record collection. In addition to music, he was a photographer with many hours spent in his dark room developing films.

He played with the Night People band in Jamaica as well as being part of the Sing Out Jamaica group. He also backed such famous artists like Toots of Toots and The Maytals, and The Tamlins, to name a few. In Jamaica he worked in sales at Wray and Nephew with a side business in furniture making until he immigrated to the US where he worked under the tutelage of his uncle in wood working before starting his own business in Florida.

A lifetime later he started a trucking business doing long distance trucking. In 2020, Tony retired from trucking because he wanted to spend more time at home with his family and he wanted to be able to go to church every Sunday.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; his son, Joseph; his daughters, Tracey, Nicole, and Racquel; his brothers, Richard, Douglas, and William; his sister, Carol; his grandchildren, Anthony, Youme, and Amelia; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Anthony was the son of Hurdon Duval (October 4, 2010) and Alda Duval (nee March) (January 13, 2017) and brothers Hugo Duval (September 29, 2010) and Howard Duval (February 3, 2014).

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Thanksgiving Service will be held at Hampton Heights Fellowship, 3516 GA-20, Hampton, GA 30228 on
March 21, 2026, at 12:00 PM.
