It is with profound sadness that the family of Anthony Earl Duval announces his passing on February 16, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on May 30, 1949, in Old Harbor, St. Catherine, Jamaica, Anthony—affectionately known as Tony—was a devoted husband, father, brother, cousin, and friend, who will be remembered for his warmth and deep sense of loyalty. Tony was that dependable friend who you could count on to be there when you needed him. He was a man of few words but his unwavering support was strong and evident in any situation in which he was needed. Tony gave freely of himself and his quiet strength was unmistakable.
Tony’s passionate love of music was evident in the many hours he spent playing his guitar and enjoying his extensive record collection. In addition to music, he was a photographer with many hours spent in his dark room developing films.
He played with the Night People band in Jamaica as well as being part of the Sing Out Jamaica group. He also backed such famous artists like Toots of Toots and The Maytals, and The Tamlins, to name a few. In Jamaica he worked in sales at Wray and Nephew with a side business in furniture making until he immigrated to the US where he worked under the tutelage of his uncle in wood working before starting his own business in Florida.
A lifetime later he started a trucking business doing long distance trucking. In 2020, Tony retired from trucking because he wanted to spend more time at home with his family and he wanted to be able to go to church every Sunday.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra; his son, Joseph; his daughters, Tracey, Nicole, and Racquel; his brothers, Richard, Douglas, and William; his sister, Carol; his grandchildren, Anthony, Youme, and Amelia; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Anthony was the son of Hurdon Duval (October 4, 2010) and Alda Duval (nee March) (January 13, 2017) and brothers Hugo Duval (September 29, 2010) and Howard Duval (February 3, 2014).
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Thanksgiving Service will be held at Hampton Heights Fellowship, 3516 GA-20, Hampton, GA 30228 on
March 21, 2026, at 12:00 PM.

I wish to extend my sincere condolences to Sandra, Joseph and the entire family. I know your hearts must be heavy at the loss of such a fine human being as Tony. Although we never met, the few times I spoke to him made me realize what a warm person he was. I found out in one of our conversations, that we attended Waulgrove College, one of the finest private High Schools in Jamaica although I was ahead of him and we never met there but we were able to reminisce about the school and some people who went there.
Sleep well Tony and may your Soul rest in peace.

Dear Sandra, Joseph and the entire family,
We are saddened by the home-going of Tony yet rejoicing that he received the gift of faith to believe in Jesus Christ as his Saviour and Lord.
So yes, we grieve but not without Hope as we will see him again if we also believe in his Lord and Saviour. Growing up in the hills of Gordon Town Jamaica as cousins, I had a special place in my heart for Tony. His tender and kind spirit and compassionate heart was very evident in his life. We are so sorry for your loss, having to live life without Tony. Praying that the God of all comfort will comfort and encourage your hearts.
Sending our love to you all.
