Alan Charles Williams was born on December 15, 1961, in Harlem, New York to Fitz Herbert Williams and Eula Olivia Williams. He was the second of five siblings. Alan grew up in the Bronx New York in a loving Christian household. As a young adult he moved to Englewood, NJ. After being married in 1986 Alan moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he resided until his death on October 22, 2021. Alan was beloved by his family, friends and all who came in contact with him.
Alan attended Alfred E. Smith High School, majoring in carpentry. Alan held several positions during his career, where he was always admired for his hard work ethic and fun personality. Alan’s last held position was at MAC Papers in Atlanta, Georgia, where he was a department Supervisor. He was a loving and giving person, willing to lend his last few dollars and give the shirt off his back. Often a prankster, he thoroughly enjoyed making people laugh. Always an optimist, he was known for pointing out the silver lining in life’s clouds and helping others see the best-case scenario. He just loved seeing people happy, even at his own expense. Alan always had a joyful and jolly disposition, regardless of what was happening around him or to him. Going blind did not change that. His faith in Jehovah God and his promises was just that strong. With his natural sense of humor and infectious and generous personality, Alan was easy to talk to and be friends with. He could really pick you up when you’re feeling down. It’s been said, ‘he could make a statue smile.‘
He dearly loved his wife and family. In the words of his wife Annabella: “I want people to know that he was a wonderful husband- spiritual, loving, kind and generous. Alan dearly loved me with all his heart and I dearly loved him with all my heart.” Everybody who knew Alan knows that he was a die-hard sports fan, carrying a torch for the Knicks, Giants, and Rams. Of Course, his love for Jehovah was the most powerful force in his life. In regards to his love for his spiritual brothers and sisters, Alan often stated that worshiping God alongside fellow servants of Jehovah gave him the most fulfillment and satisfaction in life, after having been baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on June 1, 1985.
Alan is preceded in death by his first wife Barbara Singleton Williams, older brother Joseph Williams, granddaughter Elaina Williams, Mother Eula O. Williams, Grandparents Raymond and Jennie Dixon; uncles Raymond Dixon Jr., John Dixon, George Dixon; Vincent Hall, Martin Bivens, Robert Stacey and aunts, Marilyn Dixon and Carol Dixon. 1st Cousins Anthony Dixon, Aretha Dixon, Leslie Jean Owens and Anthony J. SONG 139
See Yourself When All Is New
Just see yourself, just see me too;
Just see us all in a world that is new.
Think how you’ll feel, how it will be,
To live in peace, to be truly free.
No evil one will then prevail;
Rule by our God cannot ever fail.
The time will have come for a new earthly start,
The song of our praises
will pour out from our heart:
(CHORUS)
“We thank you, our God, for all you have done.
All things are new by the rule of your Son.
The fullness of our heart overflows in our song;
All glory and honor and praise to you belong.”
Now see yourself, and see me too;
And look ahead to a world that is new.
No sight we see, no sound we hear
Will cause alarm or give rise to fear.
All has come true, just as he said;
Now over mankind, his tent is spread.
He now will awaken those sleeping in death;
Their voices will join ours with
ev’ry grateful breath:
(CHORUS)
“We thank you, our God, for all you have done.
All things are new by the rule of your Son.
The fullness of our heart overflows in our song;
All glory and honor and praise to you belong.”
The family wishes to sincerely thank and acknowledge everyone for their calls, cards, prayers, supportive text messages, and gifts.

As faithful servants of Jehovah God we have and still do hold tight in our hearts and minds the words of the promise resurrection mentioned at Job 14:14,15. Until the fulfillment of that one and many more promise, I pray that Jehovah’s holy spirit sustains us to see its fulfillment.

I can remember the time, living on 172 st in Nelson Avenue I forgot the building number we stay across the hall. Book study, gathering, field service trading off food fun days as kids growing up. May jehovah God be with the family as we all look to the future in the new system where there will be the real life enjoying our love ones again.

We haven’t been in the Atlanta area very long, actually since 2019. When we arrived at the Camp Creek congregation, we were greeted by a host of friends. One person stood out, Alan Williams. Why? He was just Allen, a kind and fun loving brother, intelligent and inviting. He invited me and some other brothers to his home to watch a sports game. There was plenty of food. We had a good time. That’s who he was. Just a pleasant person to be around.. He very capably handled the meetings for field service on Zoom. I was always encouraged by his leadership in that role. It was about 1 month ago that I told him I loved him. He said the same to me, but that’s who he was, a loving spirit. It won’t be the same without his presence. Our hearts are heavy. He will be missed. We send our warmest condolences to you, our dear sister Williams on your lost. May Jehovah sustain you and comfort you.

My deepest condolences to the Williams family . For the short period time I have known Alan, he was such a positive and uplifting individual . He could always put a smile on your face whenever you were feeling down. He had such a beautiful outlook on life, in spite of the circumstances. He was such a giving and loving person. He would call in the morning before dropping my daughter off at school to see how she was doing. We will miss those short calls before getting the day started. Not only was he Iyanya’s grandfather, but he was also my friend. He will forever be in our hearts , and will be truly missed, and to the family, I pray you that you find strength today and hope for tomorrow.
Love
