Ms. Anna Lou Whitehead, age 85, of Fayetteville, Georgia, passed away on October 18, 2017.
Ms. Whitehead was born on June 12, 1932, in Galena, Missouri to Ms. Angie Barrett and Mr. Smilie Tiede. She was raised in Branson, Missouri, where she made many dearly loved friends. Mrs. Whitehead worked at City Utilities in Springfield, Missouri, where she eventually retired. She enjoyed her retirement working at Silver Dollar City as a cash control agent. Throughout her free-time, she enjoyed being on the lake fishing, listening to country music, and enjoying an occasional glass of wine. She played cards and was an expert in the game of liverpool rummy. Her favorite food to eat was bread-pudding. Ms. Whitehead was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. There was no such thing as a stranger to her kindred spirit, as she could spark up a conversation with everyone she met.
Ms. Whitehead is preceded in death by her parents, Mrs. Angie Tiede and Mr. Smilie Tiede, and her sister, Bonnie Eggers. She is survived by her daughter, Ms. Kelly Daugherty, her granddaughter Ashley Flanzer (husband, Brandon Flanzer) of Iowa City, grandson Jacob Daugherty of Iowa City, and her sister-in-law, Peggy Shirk of Springfield, MO.
No visitation is scheduled at this time. Ms. Whitehead’s memorial service will be held in the Spring at Table Rock Lake per her request where family and friends may join.

Anna was one of a kind. She was always and forever young at heart! She and I had so many fun times and we would laugh till we cried. A bottle of wine could have been involved.
I admired her for her independence and stubbornness. First time I met Anna she was riding her scooter to work at Silver Dollar City I said to one of my coworkers when I get old I want to be like her. She did not like that but in time she knew my meaning.
I love you Anna Lou!
Hugs for Kelly….

Anna was one of a kind. I can remember she would be mumbling to herself and I would ask, “Anna are you to talking to me or yourself?”. She would answer, “I am talking to myself and don’t get into my conversation!!”. So every time I find myself mumbling to myself, I think of dear Anna. She was unique and will be terribly missed.
Condolences to the family.
