Barbara Ann McPeters passed away suddenly on May 31, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus
Georgia. Barbara was preceded in death by her Mother: Ursula Luise Higginbotham, Father: Jesse Earl Fisher Sr., Grandmother: Ruth Theresa Burnside, Brother: Jesse Earl Fisher Jr. and her Beloved Husband: Richard Larry McPeters. Barbara is survived by: Daughter: Danielle Luise Marshall and Partner Deb Craft of Winterville, North Carolina, Daughter: Savannah Leigh Burley and Husband: Sgt First Class Greg Burley of Fort Irwin, California. Sister: Brenda Ivey of Lumberton, North Carolina, Brother: Randy Higginbotham and Wife: Tonya of St. Augustine Florida, Brother: John Higginbotham and wife Pam of Phenix City, Alabama, Terri Higginbotham-Holmes and Husband: Marc Holmes of Columbus, Georgia. Grandchildren: Lillian Morris and James Marshall Jr. of Winterville, North Carolina. Shane Burley, Zoey Burley, James Burley and Ayla Burley of Fort Irwin California as well as numerous loved nieces, nephews, friends, extended family members and her beloved cat: Moonpie.
Barbara spent her career working as a Weaver for Swift Denim where she made many life-long friends.
After retiring from Manufacturing, Barbara enjoyed spending time with her daughters and Grandchildren; spreading her time between Georgia and North Carolina. Barbara loved beach trips, flowers, fishing, good food and good music. She will be forever missed.
In lieu of flowers: the family asks that donations be made to The American Heart Association.

she is so pretty, rest in peace beautiful angel. i really hope she is in a better place, i am so so sorry. i lost my grandma earlier in march and ik how hard it must be for you guys and your family. but would she want you guys to be sad? no!! she would want you guys to think about all of the beautiful and amazing memories you guys had!! P.S-i’m zoeys friend from school and i got sent this, i am very very sorry for you’re losses:(

Barbara was a terrific grandma to our grandchildren! She and her husband, Richard, played with them and loved them with great joy!
She was a brave fighter through all the health issues she was challenged with.
It was a pleasure being the other grandparents with you, Barb.
