Byron Earl Sellers, 68 of Columbus, Georgia, passed away September 22, 2018 at Columbus Specialty Hospital, Columbus, Georgia.

Mr. Sellers, known better as “Paw Paw” to his grandchildren and their friends, was born January 27, 1950 in Columbus, Georgia. He graduated school and joined the U. S. Army. After he separated from the Army, he joined and retired with the U. S. Naval Reserve. He retired with the rank of Petty Officer Second Class. Mr. Sellers was a retired welder and mechanic working for Trailer and Hitch. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and teaching them how to fix any number of things. Paw Paw loved watching his grandchildren do many things, but especially loved watching his grandson play baseball. Mr. Sellers enjoyed following NASCAR and everything to do with the great outdoors, hunting, fishing or just spending time with his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents Jessie Earl Sellers and Velma Lou Casey Sellers.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Patricia Sellers of Columbus, Georgia; son Robert McCloud and his wife Trudy of Sierra Vista, Arizona; daughters Stephanie Kutulas and her husband Gary; Michelle Bowman and her friend Caleb East, all of Smith Station, Alabama; sisters Shirley Grimmett of Columbus and Gwen Glenn of Decatur, Alabama; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

    Prayers of peace and comfort going up for the family of Byron Earl Sellers ( aka… Paw Paw ) Just remember when ever you feel the wind blow or see a ray of sunshine you will always know Paw Paw is watching over you .
    He was a kind , caring man and always ready to help no matter what !

    The class of 69 from JVHS sends our thoughts and prayers to Byron’s family. We are so sorry for your loss. We will miss him. I had several classes with Byron. Always so nice to me. RIP Byron

    Its been 3 years now and it still stings just the same as the day you left. There is so much that you have missed and I wish I could tell you about it all. I hope Patricia isn’t giving you too much of a hard time up there old man. We miss you so much. I hope we are all making you proud down here. I cant wait to see you again someday.
