Carol Lynn Smith was born November 8, 1956 in Somerville, Tennessee to the late Doloris Sigler Feathers and Bobby C. Feathers, Sr. She graduated from Treadwell Highschool and later received her Associate’s Degree in Banking. Carol met the love of her life, Stephen C. Smith, and the two were joined in holy matrimony in 1981. Together, they raised their two beloved children, Clifford and Stacy. Mrs. Smith was very instrumental in the lives of her children. She was PTA president and spent many hours volunteering at her children’s schools. She was a devoted woman of faith which began when she was seven years old teaching Bible School to her younger and sometimes older peers. She adored her beloved church family of Chattahoochee Valley Church of Christ and spent much of her time helping any way she could. Her grandchildren were the light of her eye and even those non-family members would often call her “Granny Lynn.” In her free time, Mrs. Smith had a passion for sewing. She would sew clothing, gifts, blankets, and much more to give to others out of kindness. She touched the lives of many and her kind and loving spirit will be dearly missed.
