Cathy Jean DiDona, 61, of Jonesboro, GA, passed away September 21, 2022. Cathy was born March18, 1961 in Boonton, NJ to the late George and Crystal DiDona. She grew up in Boonton alongside her parents and her sister Tracey.
Cathy attended Cross Keys High School in Atlanta, GA. In 1993, while playing pool at Tango’s in College Park, Ga, she met Tom Blakely. Cathy and Tom fell hard for each other and spent the next 29 years faithfully and blissfully in love. She was an extremely charitable person and often donated to paralyzed veterans and to St. Judes. Cathy befriended every single animal she encountered, loving and feeding them and making them her friends. She spent the last several years taking care of her friends, loving her neighbors and pets. Cathy will be remembered for her kindness and generosity, and for the love she gave to her family members and her friends. Those who knew her will also remember her for the love she had for all animals and her love of country music.
Cathy is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by life-long partner: Tom Blakely; her sister: Tracey Walker; and her niece: Felicia Lopes.
