Charles Nelson Prudames Jr., 54, passed away peacefully in Atlanta, GA on April 7, 2023, surrounded by loved ones at Northside Hospital.
Chuck obtained his degrees from the University of Alabama, majoring in Business Administration, Finance, and Computer Science.
He spent his early career path as a builder in Atlanta specializing in custom homes and later forged a career as a Financial Advisor for Merrill Lynch in Buckhead. His real estate and business expertise enabled him to help clients achieve their goals by creating a custom portfolio to fit each person’s needs.
He loved the water- both beaches and the lake – and a special passion was his time at Lake Lanier where he built a beautiful lake home and loved having friends and family enjoy it. Each year the family would come to a big family reunion, where Chuck would plan activities, cook breakfast, and tow people around the lake – both on the tube and skis – did the wakeboard and had bonfires. He also refurbished several beach condos and homes and shared those with friends and family. One of our favorite activities was the bonfire on the beach with s’mores!
Chuck was predeceased by his father, Charles Nelson Prudames Sr. He is survived by his daughter, Madison Prudames; his mother, Wallene Prudames; his sister, Tracy Horne, and brother-in-law, Blake Horne; and nieces Brooke Horne and Arden Horne.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Methodist Children’s Home – Embrace Alabama Kids, 4001 Carmichael Road, Suite 235, Montgomery, AL 36106.
Georgia Cremation in Duluth is assisting the family with arrangements.

Chuck and I were classmates together for many years in grade school. He was always one of my favorites. He was kind, generous, smart and always so funny. He could get the entire class into a state of laughter in no time at all. In later years, i enjoyed keeping up with Chuck through Facebook. I am so sad to hear of his untimely passing. May God comfort you all as your mourn the loss of this sweet man.
