Mr. Edward George Orcutt Sr., age 83, of Lakeland, FL passed away on May 7, 2018.
Mr. Orcutt was born on November 3, 1934 in East Syracuse, NY. Edward served four years in the U.S. Navy. He had a long, successful career at Carrier Corporation in Syracuse, NY where he retired after 32 years.
In 1960, Mr. Orcutt married Louann Wilson. Together, they raised their family in Cicero, NY. Ed spent his free time coaching baseball with Cicero Little League and was also an avid Syracuse University sports fan. He loved to play golf and was a member of Big Cypress Men’s Golf Association in Lakeland, Florida and also was a previous member of McConnellsville Golf Club in New York.
Mr. Orcutt is survived by his wife of 57 years: Louann Orcutt of Lakeland, FL; children: Sandra Lasnicki of Mooresville, NC and Edward Orcutt Jr. of Shalimar, FL; family member: Nikki Sewall of Shalimar, FL; grandchildren: Kenneth Lasnicki, Jr., Katie Lasnicki and her fiancé, Daniel Ballard, Ashton Orcutt and Brennon Orcutt; great-grandchildren: Jackson and Aslyn Lane and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held in Mr. Orcutt’s honor at a later date. The Orcutt family is being assisted by Georgia Cremation, 1086 Highway 54 West, Fayetteville. Messages of condolence may be left at www.GeorgiaCremation.com.

Dear LuAnn, It was sad to read of Ed’s passing in the Syracuse Post-Standard. I remember both of you as real nice people. We’re still holding down the fort in Cicero. Time will make this easier to accept but it will require a lot of time.
