Elizabeth Gaye McCormick

Share

Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute.

Elizabeth Gaye McCormick, 63, of Preston, Georgia passed peacefully early Monday morning, August 31, 2026, at Columbus Hospice in Columbus, Georgia.

Elizabeth was born on November 23, 1962, in Americus, Georgia to Albert Terrell Walker Jr. and Peggy Jean Heath Walker. She never met a stranger, enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and loved shopping. She also enjoyed sipping on an ice-cold Coca-Cola while watching On Patrol: Live.

She was preceded in death by her parents Albert Terrell Walker Jr. and Peggy Walker of Preston Georgia.

She is survived by her son, Nicholas “Nick” Keith Biddle of Cusseta, Georgia, her daughter, Melissa Nicole Ball of Sevierville, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Kayleigh Thompson, Austin Ball, Kaleb Biddle, Kayden Biddle and Anzlee Ball; her great-grandchild Grayson Thompson; her brother Steve Walker of Preston, Georgia; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and many caring friends.

If you knew Gaye, you were truly fortunate. Honor her memory in the way she would have wanted; by checking in on a neighbor, lending a helping hand, and loving your family a little louder.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

Georgia Cremation-Columbus is assisting the family with the arrangements.

I have to say this lady right here means so much to me and my son Jax..She helped me take care of him when I was far from a good mother. But all by God’s mercy and grace she knew I had changed my life and fully become the mother God intended..She like a second momma to me and I’ll never forget her smile. She had so big heart and would definitely give to whoever whatever they needed.
