Irene Karpinski, 87, of Columbus, GA passed away peacefully, Saturday, February 12, 2022. Ms. Karpinski was born in Easthampton, MA.

After growing up in Massachusetts, she spent many years in Connecticut before moving to South Carolina and later Georgia. During her working years, she was employed as a loan administrator. During her leisure time, Ms. Karpinski enjoyed drawing and painting.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Karpinski.  She was a loving mother and grandmother and is survived by her children, Sharon Copeland, John Karpinski, and Steven Karpinski and his wife, Rosemary; grandchildren, Abigail and Oliver Copeland, Jennica and Jolene Karpinski; a brother, John and his wife, Myra, and many nieces and nephews.

It is requested that those who wish to honor Ms. Karpinski consider a contribution to the Alzheimer’s Association.

The family is being assisted by Georgia Cremation, 7500 Veterans Parkway, Suite A, Columbus, Georgia 31909. The family invites you to leave a condolence or share a fond memory below.

    To my cousins, Sharon, John and Steve, I am so sorry for the death of your Mom, my Aunt Renie. She is free.
    We will see her again when we go to the other side, and greet us with open arms.

    Dear Sharon, Steven and John:
    I’m so sorry to hear that your mother has passed away. At this difficult time, know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
    Your parents wedding was the first one I ever went to and I thought you mother looked SO beautiful.
    She is at peace now.
