Jerrell Anthony Dyer was born September 9, 1942 in LaFayette, Georgia to the late Myra Kilgore Dyer and J.C. Dyer. From an early age, Mr. Dyer always showed a love for sports and the outdoors. One of his favorite past times when he was not at his local fishing spot was watching baseball. He was a huge fan of the Arizona Diamondbacks and the former Milwaukee Braves. He was known to be one heck of a bowler and at one point turned professional for a short period of time. He rolled many games of 300 and once, the store owner gave him a pin as a keepsake after he bowled a 299, just one shy of a perfect game.
Mr. Dyer was an avid reader and enjoyed western novels and television shows. He was Presbyterian by faith from an early age. His favorite hobby was spending time with his wonderful grandchildren, whether teaching them to fish, the game of baseball, or just enjoying their bright smiles and laughter.
Jerrell Anthony Dyer, 76, of Fort Benning, Georgia passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at his home with his loved ones by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents and younger brother, Dennis Dyer.
