John Thomas Gargosh

Share

Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute.

John Thomas Gargosh, 76, of Duluth, Georgia, was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven on November 23, 2023.

He was born July 14, 1947, in Rochester, New York. He spent his childhood in Port Orange, Florida where he attended Mainland High School. After finishing his associate college degree, he entered the Air Force where he became a very accomplished aircraft mechanic. He worked on the F-4 Phantom, the workhorse jet for the military. John was a perfectionist and said that an aircraft mechanic must have that trait as people’s lives depend on it. He eventually settled in Atlanta, Georgia where he raised his family. He was known for his humor, willingness to help people, and ability to fix anything. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.

John is survived by his sons, Bob and Dan Gargosh, his ex-wife Marge, his grandsons, Mitchell and Hayden Gargosh and his sisters, Irene Mason of Ft Collins, CO, Jeanette Lockwood and brother-in-law Jim Lockwood of Rochester, NY and many nieces and nephews.

The family will host a celebration of life January 6, 2024, 11:00 AM at Ingram Funeral Home located at 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming GA 30040.
