Johnny Broaders, Jr.

Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute.

In Loving Memory of Johnny Broaders, Jr.

It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Johnny Broaders, Jr., who peacefully departed this life on September 1, 2026, at his residence.

Johnny was born on June 6, 1974, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Inez Broaders and the late Johnny Broaders, Sr. He was raised in Hurtsboro, Alabama, in the Wende Community, where he grew up surrounded by family, friends, and the people who helped shape the man he would become.

Johnny was the second of four children. Johnny never needed to be the center of attention to be noticed, his presence had a quiet strength—people felt him, appreciated him, and remembered him. He was a proud graduate of Russell County High School, Class of 1992, where he played basketball and formed friendships and memories that remained with him throughout his life. After high school, Johnny briefly served in the United States Army.

Johnny had many things he loved, including fishing and sports, but one thing that could always bring out his passion was his beloved Auburn Tigers. He was a true Auburn football fan, standing by his team through the victories, the defeats, and everything in between. His familiar “War Eagle!”was a reflection of the loyalty and enthusiasm he brought to the things he loved. Johnny was also a talented and hardworking welder. He spent several years employed with Pitts Trailers, where he took pride in his work and remained dedicated until his health no longer allowed him to continue.

In recent months, Johnny faced a difficult battle with stage four esophageal cancer. Yet, even in the midst of his illness, he continued to demonstrate the strength and determination that had always been a part of him. His journey was not an easy one, but he faced it with courage and dignity.

Johnny leaves behind a loving family who will carry his memory in their hearts and cherish the many moments they shared with him. He is survived by his devoted mother, Inez Broaders; his sisters, Glenda Dix and Elizabeth (Ivory) Broaders-Harris; his brother, Johnny (Keisha) Broaders, III; three nieces, Remington Dix, Ja’Chele Harris, and Amiyah Broaders-Harris; four nephews, Brandon Dix, Cameron Dix, Jamory Harris, and Quintarious Broaders; his aunt, Ethel Broaders; his uncle, Marlous Thomas; and a host of loving cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

Johnny’s nieces and nephews held a special place in his heart. The love he poured into them was unmistakable—pure, joyful, and unwavering. They were, without question, his pride and joy.

Though his absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, Johnny’s life remains a blessing. His laughter, his personality, his stories, and the warmth he carried will continue to echo through the lives of those who loved him. We thank God for every moment shared—every smile, every memory, every lesson, every joy.

Johnny’s life was a gift. His legacy is love. His memory is forever.

Rest peacefully, Johnny.
