Judith Sharpless Woolard, age 73, originally of West Chester, passed away on May 16, 2026, after a brief illness in Atlanta, Georgia.
She grew up in Malvern, the daughter of William and Eleanor Sharpless. Judy was the sister of Diane Eason, Susan Dietrich, and Kim Edwards (now deceased).
Judy attended Great Valley High School and graduated from Monmouth University with a degree in accounting. Judy would work as an accountant and controller in her professional life.
She was a golfer, a thoughtful investor, a lifelong reader, and a proud member of the Catholic Church and regularly attended Mass. Above all, Judy was a loving and caring mother.
Judy was the former wife of R. Cheston Woolard and is survived by her sons Evan Woolard of Singapore and Mark Woolard of Atlanta. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Caitlyn, Tristan, Jack, and Wade.
A celebration of her life will take place at St. Philip and James on June 8, 2026. Visitation will be at 10:00 am, followed by a Mass at 11:00 am. Judy will be loved and missed.

Georgia Cremation in Duluth assisted the family with arrangements.

Dear Chet, Evan, Mark and sisters, I am so sorry to hear this about my close friend and golf partner. She was very kind, sweet, generous and a loyal friend. We played many, many rounds together and tornaments with our husbands, plus women’s tournaments. Lots of fun dinners at the Coatesville Country Club with a bunch of couples who hung out.
