Lois Evelyn Bohannon

Share

Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute.

Lois Evelyn Bohannon, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

She was a woman of deep faith who loved Jehovah and treasured the hope He gives us through His promise of the resurrection. Her faith was an important part of her life and she looked forward to the day when she would see her loved ones again in the promised new world.

To her family, she was so much more than a mother and grandmother. She was a source of love, strength, wisdom, and comfort. Her kindness, laughter, stories, and the countless memories she created with those she loved will remain in their hearts forever.

Lois was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Bohannon.
She is survived by her children, Kevin Bohannon, Kristina Goessl, Kimberly Sternberg, and Julie(Brad) Hollingsead. Kristina’s husband, Stanley also preceded Lois in death.
She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Jason (Evelyn) Goessl, Linzy Sternberg, Karissa Goessl, Brynn (Paul) Gioeli, Chelsea Sternberg, Zoe Bohannon, Dylan Bohannon, Zane Sternberg and Natalie Hollingsead; and her beloved great grandchildren Stanley Cordone, Riley Gioeli, Brooks Croop and Kellyn Gioeli.
She is also survived by her siblings, Loretta (Harlan) Kahl, Roger (Debbie) Burgwald, Danny Burgwald and Rita (Don) Johnson, along with numerous, nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.

Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in Jehovah’s promise that death will not be the end. We look forward to the day when we will be reunited with her and once again hear her voice, see her smile, and hold her in our arms.

Until that beautiful day, she will remain forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.

“He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces.” — Isaiah 25:8

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Lois Bohannon’s Memory to the worldwide work of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  Donations may be made through jw.org
