Mary Wahl was born on January 14th, 1959 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Buzz Carr and Helen Billik Carr. She was raised in Richmond, Virginia and lived in San Diego, California for some time before moving to Alabama. Ms. Mary proudly served her country for four years while in the United States Air Force. She was an active auxiliary member for combat veterans and enjoyed riding motorcycles. She had a huge heart for her grandchildren and her beloved dogs.
Mary Wahl, 59, of Opelika, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, November 27th, 2018 at Piedmont Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Ethel Mae Spencer.
Survivors include her husband, David Wahl; one son, Douglas; four step-children, Jeremy, Ashley, Hayden, and Gracie; two granddaughters, Haley and Loraine; two brothers, Frank Spencer of Marietta, California and Chuck Carr of Springfield, Missouri; and niece, Brandi of Marietta, California.
A Celebration of Life service will take place Saturday, December 1st, 2018 at 1:00pm at the VFW Post located at 9810 Lee Road 240, Smith Station, Alabama 36877.

I just found out today that Mary had passed away! I was saddened to hear that and to know that she won’t be calling me about my quarterly pest control appointment anymore.
