Michael Ray Shadding, 66 of Smiths Station, AL passed away Friday, May 8, 2026 at his home.

Mike was born November 3, 1959 in Statonsburg, NC, the son of Carlton Ray Shadding and Shelby Jean Barbee Shadding. He worked for many years at the former Leshner Mills in Phenix City and later was a truck driver. Most of all he will be remembered as a wonderful husband and father.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Ricky Lee Shadding and his sister, Tammy Lynn Shadding.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie, three daughters, Amanda Dubberly (Randy), Melissa Ozley (Rob), Elizabeth Edwards (Jason); two sons, Chris Shadding (Tammy), William Gaston (Emily); one brother, Jason Shadding (Tammy); seven grandchildren, Gage Dubberly (Anna), Landon Dubberly, Dylan Ozley, Abbi Shadding, Cainan Shadding, Lydia Shadding, Mary Beth Edwards; one great granddaughter, Ruby Faye Dubberly; one nephew, Eric Shadding and one niece, Summer Lynn Shadding.

A private service will be held.

Georgia Cremation – Columbus is assisting the family with arrangements.
