Mildred I. (Christopher) Pelt of Dahlonega, Georgia (formerly of Stone Mountain) passed away December 6, 2017, following a brief illness.
LIFE AND FAMILY
Mildred enjoyed crocheting and all types of needlework. She also enjoyed gardening, from flowers to vegetables. In her younger years she sang “Fa-So-La” all over North East Georgia. She was a former Special Education Bus Driver for DeKalb County Schools.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Anthony (Jack) Pelt of Dahlonega; her son and daughter-in-law, Al and Debbie Bioust; her daughter and son-in-law, Scott and Cathi (Bioust) Houston; five grandchildren: Madison Houston, Tyler Houston, Jake Bioust, Alec Houston and Nick Bioust, all of Monroe, Georgia; her mother, Frances Christopher of Loganville, Georgia; her brother, John Christopher of Dawsonville, Georgia; sisters, Mrs. Janice Camp of Loganville and Mrs. Mary Caldwell of Covington, Georgia, as well as several nephews and a great-niece who fondly shared the same birth date, Alexis Roberts.
She is preceded in death by her father, J.B. Christopher; and beloved grandparents, Walter and Allie (Jones) Hall.
SERVICE
There will be a Celebration of Life on January 14, 2018 at 3:00 pm at St. John Baptist Church, 4948 Wilkins Road, Decatur, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mildred’s honor to: FISH 4 Kids, FISH of Walton, PO Box 1838, Monroe, Georgia 30655 or on line at www.fishofwalton.org.
