Millie, a faithful Catholic, proudly raised 4 children, and enjoyed her 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Millie lived 93 years of an exemplary life, enjoyed time with family, and honored her Catholic faith through prayer and support for loved ones and those she came to know. Her love of family, cooking and baking, Croatian heritage, singing, dancing and sense of humor will be dearly missed and forever treasured.
A Mass of Remembrance will be held on Friday, March 24 at 9:00AM at Ss Robert & William Catholic Church in Euclid, OH. Deacon Mike Jones says
My name is Deacon Mike Jones and I also reside at the place as did Millie. She is missed by many people here at the PARC of Duluth and those who also attended the Sunday service. I don’t believe that she ever missed. She was very quiet and peaceful here. After reading her obituary, I learned that she also had lost two sons. I can understand now so much more about her.
Diane Kasunic says
Millie was a vibrant and positive person who loved life and people. She seemed to live life to the fullest and appreciate what it presented.
I will miss her emails that included family updates. I enjoyed seeing the photos of her artwork that she would often include.

John 11:25
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.”
—
Mildred was a believer and her memory will stay in our hearts, while she lives on with the Lord.
May her family be surrounded by the comfort of Jesus and his army of angels.

Millie: you played a critical role in holding together many hearts. We love you and miss you.

Kimberly , Tammy
My deepest sympathy to you. I often think about your house around the corner from mine and how we had so many good times. Remember the Barbie dolls. I loved all the latest emails from Millie where she was drawing all her paintings. She is with the rest of the crew. Our parents are all almost gone baking those strudels in the sky. God Bless her and your whole family. Hugs

YOU DON’T JUST LOSE SOMEONE ONCE
You lose them over and over,
sometimes in the same day.
When the loss, momentarily forgotten,
creeps up,
and attacks you from behind.
Fresh waves of grief as the realisation hits home,
they are gone.
Again.
You don’t just lose someone once,
you lose them every time you open your eyes to a new dawn,
and as you awaken,
so does your memory,
so does the jolting bolt of lightning that rips into your heart,
they are gone.
Again.
Losing someone is a journey,
not a one-off.
There is no end to the loss,
there is only a learned skill on how to stay afloat,
when it washes over.
Be kind to those who are sailing this stormy sea,
they have a journey ahead of them,
and a daily shock to the system each time they realise,
they are gone,
Again.
You don’t just lose someone once,
you lose them every day,
for a lifetime.

My heart is hurting having learned about precious Millie’s passing. I met Millie when living at Walden Apts. In Flowery Branch,GA.I was a caregiver for my husband and Millie and her daughter,Kim, soon became friends to me. Millie was a wonderful cook and many times she would bring me delicious leftovers.
My husband passed away and I spent a lot of time with Millie and Kim. I was a Methodist and Millie was a devout Catholic. She asked me one day if she could join me for church on Sunday. We started meeting every Sunday morning to attend Candler UMC with Peggy Wages as minister. We all became good friends and after church,Peggy,Millie,Charlotte, and I would go for lunch. We had such a good time and everyone loved my precious friend Millie. She was one in a million. I loved her and will miss her emails and pictures.
Peggy,Charlotte and Millie are all enjoying each other in Heaven. ❤️🙏
