Patricia Ruth Barrett, age 85 of Columbus Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 22, 2026. She was born in Columbus Georgia on November 18, 1940, to Durward and Vivian Pyle. She had one brother, Harold Pyle.
She graduated from Jordan Vocational High School in 1958. She later Retired from Columbus Regional Health Care now Piedmont after working from 1967 to 2005, 38 years of service.
Pat was well liked and loved by everyone she came in contact with. She loved her Life friends and her Church friends. Pat would do anything for you; she had the very best heart. She never met a stranger.
Pat was proceeded in death by her parents Durward and Vivian Pyle, Brother and Sister In Law Harold and Roxie Pyle. One Niece Peggy Hopkins.
Pat is survived by her daughter Cindy Ward, her grandchildren, Courtney and Hayley Ward, her great-grandchildren Cameron Nichelson, Whitney Polous, Jordyn Price, Presley Ward, Harlee Ward and Winnie Ward.
Pat’s wishes, Cremation has taken place, no services will be held.

Thank you for Grace you shared with me dear friend. There were no boundaries on the sister ship of love for people we met who needed a smile and directions to our table. We loved your warm stories of life and good doctors, nurses, and employees who knew you back in the day at Regional Hospital up to 40 years ago. We know your favorite dish was Bang Bang Shrimp and your favorite first cup of coffee in the day with oatmeal cookie dunkers. You took recipes to share but famous samples even better to remember. You will never be forgotten in any good crowd of seniors or down home travel as long as your car would make it.

Worked with Pat at the Medical Center for 8 or 9 years. We became good friends and she will be missed greatly. Believe she is in a better place and we will see her again.

Pat was very special to me. I have had my hands in her hair since I was 15 years old as my aunt Jean’s shampoo assistant . She became my client every Friday morning due to Jean passing away. Friday mornings for 28 yrs she has been in my chair telling stories/ jokes. She watched me grow up as she often reminded me. Everyone in the Salon will miss you especially me.. love you… Angela Strickland
