Peggy Ann Colbert, 50 of Waverly Hall, GA passed away early Saturday, February 10, 2018 surrounded by family at her home.

Peggy was born May 16, 1967 in Valparaiso, Indiana the daughter of Donald Shupe and Patricia Kerkas Vargas. Prior to moving to Georgia, Peggy worked for the Ft. Wayne Parks Department with flowers. Peggy and Jeff moved to Georgia and found the home in Waverly Hall and she continued working outdoors with her yard and loved to garden and planting flowers around her new yard. She was a bus driver with the Harris County School Systems and enjoyed the children and fellow workers. She was a member of the New Harvest Church in Hamilton, Georgia.

Peggy is survived by her husband Jeff Colbert of Waverly Hall, Georgia; son Anthony Ransom and his wife Ally of Fort Wayne, Indiana; mother Patricia Kerkas Vargas of Fort Wayne, Indiana; father Donald Shupe of Oakland, Tennessee; sister Donna Jacobs, Corinth, Mississippi; and Leona Shupe of Fort Wayne Indiana; brothers Michael Vargas of Fort Wayne, Indiana and David Isaacson of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

A Celebration of Life service for Peggy will be held 5:00 pm on Wednesday, Februrary 14, 2018 at New Harvest Church, 80 Palmetto Creek Lane, Hamilton, Georgia 31811.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Peggy Ann Colbert will be accepted by New Harvest Church to be forwarded to two of Peg’s favorite charities.

    Jeff I am so sorry to hear of Peg’s passing. She was an amazing sweet Godly woman. My mother Sue DeBardelaben loved her so much. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

    Jeff, I’m so sorry to hear about Peggy! I don’t even know what to say, I’m at a loss for words! I’m sure she is not suffering anymore and is in the arms of our heavenly father! I will miss my dear friend.
