Phyllis Louise Holmes Davis, of Fayetteville, Georgia went peacefully to be with the Lord on October 14th, 2018, at the age of 82.
Phyllis was born on June 6, 1936 in Washington Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her parents George Ralph Holmes and Dorothy Elizabeth Roberts Holmes of Washington, PA.
She is survived by her high school sweetheart of 64 years, Teddy Blaine Davis and their three children: Sharon Denise Jones of Griffin, GA, Teddy Blaine Jr. (Denise) Davis of Jackson, GA, Shawnee Renee (Todd) Mercer of Fayetteville, GA.Her seven grandchildren: Michelle Lynn Presley, Christopher Steven (Shana) Walden, Tiffany Nicole Davis, Matthew Blaine Davis, Ashleigh Renee (Jessie) Lawson, Trevor Austin (Victoria) Mercer and Brinley Rebekah Mercer. Her seven great-grandchildren: Amber Michelle Presley, Brandon Christopher Presley, Cade Conrad Presley, Avery Steven Walden, Brendan Manual Pena, Aiden Christopher Walden and Ava Rae Lawson. Her three siblings: Mary (Jane) Enos of Beach Haven, NJ, Ralph Jr. (Betty) Holmes of Washington, PA and Carol Ann (Arnold) Fisher of Sunrise, FL.
Phyllis’ passion in life has always been to glorify and worship the Lord along with raising her family and grandchildren. Her love of family and traditions was always at the forefront of her heart. The strength of her body and soul will always be a legacy to her beloved family. “Just a closer walk with Thee” Grant it, Jesus, is my plea. Daily walking close to Thee, let it be, Dear Lord, let it be.”
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 27th @ 2:30 p.m. for Family Receiving and Service beginning @ 3:00 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church (North), 551 New Hope Road, Fayetteville Georgia 30214 (Fellowship/Dining Hall) with Hugh Kirby, officiating.

So sorry to read of cousin Phyllis’s passing. We rode the bus to high school together and was always at her house in Wolfdale, Pa. as children. She will always live in my memories.
