Sarah Josephine Cochran, 85, of Columbus Ga, went to be with her Savior on May 10th 2023.
Born December 29th, 1937 in Columbus, she was the daughter of the late James and Louise Cook.
Sarah worked for Kemet packaging for nearly 20 years. She then spent her time doing what she loved most, providing childcare.
She will forever be remembered for her beautiful smile, big heart, and the love she had for children. She was a huge fan of Elvis, but spending time with her family was her favorite thing to do.
Sarah is preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee Cochran and son James Smith, Jr.
Surviving are her daughters Sharon Lewis and Teresa Chasteen; Grandchildren Lisa and John Lewis, Shannon Smith, Marty Chasteen (Kylie), Erin Rinehart (Bradley); great grandchildren Avery and Zoe Chasteen, Alex Smith, Ella, Lincoln and Ruby Rinehart.
Services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Columbus Hospice of Georgia, Sarah’s angels on earth.
Georgia Cremation-Columbus is assisting the family.

It saddened me to hear of “granny Jo’s” passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. I will always cherish my visits with Tee to her house. Such a sweet lady.
