I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Stephen. It’s hard to lose someone who was part of the fabric of our school days and our community, and my heart goes out to all who loved him.
Many of us remember him not just as a classmate, but as a kind and steady presence, someone who carried himself with warmth and sincerity.
To his friends, he was simply “Buddy”, a fitting name for someone remembered as a devoted son, father, brother, and uncle. His kindness and gentle spirit touched many, and those who knew him will carry that with them always.
May his family find comfort in the love surrounding them, and may Steve’s memory continue to bring light to all who were fortunate enough to know him. A celebration of his life will be held by the family at a later date, and I hope it brings peace and connection to everyone who gathers in his honor.
My heartfelt condolences to the Johnson family and to all who are grieving this loss.

    HD Class of 86

I’m sorry for your loss and my heart goes out to the family. Steve was a great friend and I will miss him dearly. I’ve missed him picking me up for football practice and the many rides to school and all the memories we shared along the way. Those were some of the best times of my life. Steve was a warm soul and a gentle being and loved those he cared about immensely. Although time has separated us all I relish in the fond memories of my friend and hope that memories bring his family warmth and love in the coming days.
