The following poem we say to our Mother:
If tears could build a stairway,
and memories were a lane,
We would walk right up to heaven
and bring you back again.
No farewell words were spoken,
no time to say goodbye,
You were gone before we knew it,
and only God knows why.
Our hearts ache in sadness,
and many tears will flow.
What is meant to lose you,
no one can ever know.
But now we know you want us,
to mourn for you no more,
To remember all the happy times,
life still has much in store.
Since you’ll never be forgotten,
we pledge to you today,
A hallowed place within our hearts,
is where you’ll always stay.

Tonia is such a sweetheart. She was always willing to help, no matter what I came over asking for. What drew me to her was, she never had a frown on her face. I wanted to know what was her secret. She was to train me when she returned to work. I was looking forward to working with her, because she was always so positive. I’m glad I was able to get to know her. She will be missed.

Tonia was my very favorite nurse at Emory Johns Creek. Loved her handbags and shoes, always unique. She was so excited about her upcoming cruise, after such a great time on the last one. Constantly smiling and personable I just can’t believe she’s been called home. As much as I’ll miss her fantastic personality and her willingness to always listen to my many family stories, I know she will always be with us in our fantastic memories. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends as you travel through this difficult time.

Tonia,
You were one of my best and True friends. We not only worked side by side, but we were together outside of work; from going to concerts, hair shows, crab fest, Joyce Meyers convention, movies, eating at various restaurants and of course our New York trip. I will miss our talks and your company! Until we meet again my dear friend Rest Peacefully!!
