Vincent J. “Vinny” Aleandri passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, Vince dedicated his life to his great passions: family and music. As a gifted accordionist, he began performing professionally in 1959 and spent more than six decades sharing his talent with audiences across the country. His music carried him from his time as a Tamburitzan in college to festivals, weddings, and community celebrations throughout the Northeast and Midwest. He performed on some of the country’s most recognized stages, including Walt Disney World’s EPCOT Italian Pavilion and SeaWorld Orlando.
To those who knew him best, Vince was much more than a musician. He was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, great-grandfather, loyal friend, and a man whose warmth could fill any room. Whether entertaining a crowd with his accordion or simply sitting with family, Vince had a way of making people smile.
A proud veteran of the United States Army, Vince also lived his faith through active involvement in the Catholic Church and as a First Degree Knight of Columbus. His life was guided by service, faith, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved.
Vince shared 55 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Toni Aleandri. Together they built a family that became the center of his world. He is survived by his wife Toni; his children Nicole Hinkle (Gene), Melissa Elam (Donnie), and Tina Aleandri (Shawnna Conti); his grandchildren Brittany Fernander (Adrian), Gene Hinkle III (Nia), Dominic Elam, and Mya Elam; and his cherished great-grandchildren Makayla Fernander, AJ Fernander, Lexi Fernander, Noah Hinkle, and Aliyah Hinkle.
He was also a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.
In recent years, Vince faced significant health challenges with the same strength and determination that defined his entire life. Even through those struggles, he continued enjoying music, family, and getting back to doing what he loved most. His spirit never faded.
Those who knew Vince will remember his infectious smile, his love of laughter, his devotion to family, and the unmistakable sound of his accordion. The music may have stopped, but the memories he created will continue playing in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

My Vince!!! I met you only briefly but in the cameo of being with you, you exuded love, patience, kindness and totally a genuine family man to the core. Our shared jokes, our friendship, conversations were so special. It’s an utter shock you left this world to be with your creator. I learnt so much from you — to love family, friends and everyone without a limit was all you stood for. Thanks for all the love and I’m glad we shared some great laughter towards the end. Even in your dwelling health you stood your ground to play me one of your favorites song with your accordion. I will miss you so much and greatly, Vince! God eternally rest your beautiful soul. Love you still ❤️

He was my dad’s roommate at Duquesne and a few years later, my godfather. My grandparents both would always ask my dad how Vince was doing every time we saw them. Please give my deepest condolences to the girls.

Sylvia and I extend our condolences to Toni and the Aleandri family. Vince entered our lives during the time (2002) we established the Central Florida Accordion Club (CFAC). He was one of our early members. I remember Vince being an advocate for our cause in the Central Florida area. He freely gave his time and personal time and convenience to help our community outreach efforts by full and active participation. What a great, caring, and talented accordionist and person!! He positively touched the lives of so many of our members. On a number of occasions, we played accordions at community outreach events, CFAC meetings, and personal social events. His accordion medley from the Broadway musical, “Fiddler on the Roof” was always my favorite and he made sure he played it for me. We were so thrilled and happy for Vince when he was selected to play with the Mantovani Orchestra when they were touring in our area. He encouraged and guided so many of our newest accordionists. He was also a founding member and participant in our first accordion band. Vince: THANK YOU!! You fondly remain in our hearts and collective memories. Yes!! You are still with us!!
